SandwichBot ("we," "us," or "our") is a Discord bot designed to bring utility, fun, and community tools to your server. By inviting SandwichBot to your Discord server or interacting with it, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

This policy applies to all users who interact with SandwichBot in any Discord server where the bot is present.

02 Data We Collect

When you interact with SandwichBot, we may automatically collect the following information:

• Discord User ID — a unique numeric identifier assigned by Discord to your account.
• Discord Server (Guild) ID — the identifier of the server in which SandwichBot is active.
• Message content — only when a message is a direct command to SandwichBot (e.g., /order). We do not read or store general conversation messages.
• Command usage data — which commands are used and when, for the purpose of analytics and improving the bot.
• Configuration settings — server-specific settings you configure for SandwichBot (e.g., prefix, enabled features).

03 How We Use Your Data

The data we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Providing and operating the bot's core features and commands.
• Storing server configurations and user preferences.
• Debugging issues and improving bot stability and performance.
• Generating anonymized, aggregate usage statistics to understand how the bot is used.
• Complying with Discord's Terms of Service and Developer Policy.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond operating SandwichBot.

04 Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as it is necessary to provide the bot's services. Specifically:

• Command logs are retained for up to 30 days for debugging purposes, then deleted.
• Server configurations are retained for as long as SandwichBot remains in your server. When the bot is removed, your server's configuration data is deleted within 30 days.
• User data (e.g., profile settings, stats) is retained until you request deletion or the bot is removed from all mutual servers.

05 Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties. We do not share your data except in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We may use trusted third-party infrastructure providers (e.g., hosting, databases) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Legal obligations: We may disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process (e.g., a court order or subpoena).
• Discord: SandwichBot operates within the Discord platform and is subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.

06 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to erasure: You can request that we delete your personal data.
